We will look at: 

• Planning a safe day out on the water to develop your independence 
• Developing your forward stroke to help you paddle more efficiently; generating momentum, accelerating and cruising 
• Understanding how the wind affects your boat, and adjusting your trim to allow for this 
• Develop your stroke repertoire to help improve boat handling 
• If the wind allows, some improvised sailing 

I can also tailor training to your specific needs.

• Bespoke coaching by a qualified open water canoe coach

• Photos and videos from the day

• PPE if required

• You will have paddled your canoe solo (or tandem if you plan to come as a tandem pair)

• You can paddle forwards and turn your canoe on the spot and on the move

• You understand the basics of connectivity and power transfer

• Canoe coaching on moving water by a qualified white water coach

• Buoyancy Aid if required
